The Capital Market has become international and global. Therefore, in order to hold our place in the international competition, we must increase our paid-in capital and diversify our investment strategies. Moreover, the most important mission is to increase our paid-in capital. Only through maximized paid-in capital can we sustain businesses and keep ourselves in a safe foothold. Capital
increment and M&A are the two most common approaches to expand. We wish to rapidly complete our mission to increase the capital through these two means. To meet our current goal at NT $100 million, we are striving to grasp over any opportunities to expand.

Business Diversification
In order to diversify our businesses, we need to consolidate from our current businesses and develop new ones. As for our current businesses, Concord will play its role as an investment bank in underwriting and educate enterprises to improve their methods of raising capitals, such as public offering and collaborations with other financial institutions for underwriting, which will also help prosper other industries. For Proprietary Trading Department and Business Network Division, we aim to stimulate stock market trading. The collateral investment and trading services also work toward this goal; we are also starting strategic alliance with different industries to establish a complete distribution channel. As for our consultation business, we are going to scan widely on globe funds, and looking for the potential industries for our clients. Domestically, we will focus on discretionary investment service mainly of stock trading recommendations, consultations, and analytical report releases. The overall environment shall bring an even better outlook for Concord's investment and consulting business.
With capital maximization, we will be able to develop different financial derivatives and instruments to offer our customers the conveniences of "one-step shopping ". In addition, we will also develop investment trust businesses. Now financial management is becoming common in Taiwan, the amazing scale of funds of different sizes has clearly demonstrated as an investment corporation is rather influential and even serves as an investment index for stock market.
E-Trading
In 1999, we officially started electronic trading operation, and gradually, we have completed the online, voice, mobile phone ordering systems and all kinds of online trading platform. E-trading is just now unfolding; it is expected that our stance in electronic business will gain a head start. Future electronic service will not only be common but also come with integrated system functions. Online trading market and the number of account opened is rapidly growing. With the prevalence of internet operation, electronic trading will become common in all trading. Concord will develop and invest in electronic trading for the required manpower and resources, to bring customers fast, convenient, and stable electronic trading service. Concord will also establish a complete resource network, introduce the latest technology, professional and global investment trading platform in order to be competitive in this fierce market.
Internationalized Operation
With the advance of information technology and logistics, international enterprises exist in every industry. Being a unique industry, financial industry is protected by local laws and is thus rather slow for internationalization. As the market opens and internet functioning boundlessly, internationalized capital flow is an unavoidable trend. Concord could just serve its role as an agent here; aside from helping foreign investment into local stock and futures
markets, inducing famous foreign enterprises to raise capitals from Taiwan, introducing local investors financial instruments from international markets, we also reinforce the business development of our subsidiary in Hong Kong as well as strategic alliance with KBC Asset Management N.V. to provide the professional investment service.
In the future, the securities industry will face an even more fierce competition with more challenges.
